Sri Lanka Day 33 (Welisara): Featuring Misuki Plaza Hotel & Twin Bananas

Started the day with a sleep-deprived body because I was trying very hard to finish updating my blog. I slept unknowingly and woke up at 3am and went for a nap at 6.30am. TADA. 1810.813 MB of data left when I top up 5gb on the 29th of May. How am I going to survive for the rest of the month. I think I should really really save as much as possible and top up on the 27th June earliest since I will be leaving on 26th June. Buying another card to reload will be too much if the hotel wifi in Colombo is good.

Breakfast was the same as the day before. Cheese omelette as well as non-toasted white bread with butter.

Continued with costing report and trying to make sense out of it. Finished tax already. Erm, I would say that I have been losing my concentration and kept playing with my phone. SIGH.

Oh and Tank Farm Report shall be left till Friday when the visit is all over.

Lunch: Szechuan Noodles which made my stomach burn, my mouth on fire and my nose run. And the twin banana with connecting skin but the flesh is separated.

The highlight of the day was acting all wen qing with Janet and I think it is really funny! Shall keep the record of them somewhere HAHAHA.

Costing report is giving quite a big headache because all that I can see is just numbers flying everywhere.

Went to tank farm again to see the dipping! Hahaha I totally failed it because I couldn't control the calibrator and the whole thing went into the oil.

We climbed to the top of the oil tank!!

For those who have been wondering where I have been staying for the past 5 weeks, I have been staying at Misuki Plaza Hotel, which costs around $100 per night on bookings.com but our rate is $55 per night per room maybe because of some working relationship with the company and hence the discount. The company could have chosen it given its location as it only takes about 10-15min for us to reach the factory. There is a staff van which will pick us up at 8.30am everyday and drop us off after work as well. It is overpriced in my opinion because we could jolly well get a much better room at this price at other cities around Sri Lanka. However, the staff here are really friendly and they pay a lot of attention to you. The food is quite costly here too and sometimes we really feel that it is not worth it to eat some food on the menu even though we do not have to pay for it.

So one week left at Misuki Plaza Hotel, having mixed feelings about it. At the beginning, I really wasn't used to this place given that the furnitures were quite dusty, the blanket was very thin, the floorings and the list goes on. However, having cleaned my room thoroughly and rearranged the furnitures and unpacked my things, it became much like my home here in Sri Lanka.
