Sri Lanka Day 40: A Local Birthday Celebration
Yup still watching Pinocchio at 4.30am and I regretted this. Got really agitated because of the scriptwriter. HAHAH.
Breakfast: Club sandwich with no fries (siannn)
Happy Birthday Haritha! So I finally got to experience a local birthday celebration which was really different. I was clapping while singing the birthday song and I didn't realise that nobody was clapping. That was quite embarrassing. And they go around feeding everyone with the cake so in a way, everyone was taking a small mouth from the same piece of cake, which meant that the saliva was shared. Ehem, I didn't really want to eat it actually because I am saliva concious when it comes to people whom I am not close friends with.
Continued to work on the tank farm report and it was really really not easy. Finally got the oil stock statement from the tank farm manager. Had much difficulty finding him because of trainings and meetings which he was involved in.
Btw, people here do swear with the f word too! Random finding.
Lunch: Singapore-style Roasted Chicken Mee Hoon
Tea: Treat from Haritha and the curry puff was awesome!!
Didn't even go to the toilet once the entire day and when I was done with the tank farm report at 5pm, I was like yesss, finally I can go but that was the time when the operation manager wanted to talk to us.
He asked us some questions on imports and exports and HAHAHAH couldn't answer at all. Realised a lot of gaps and he was trying to help us fill in the gaps but my bladder couldn't hold and it was after 5.30pm already and so I was feeling super lethargic. In the end, the whole van waited for us for 40min. Feel so so bad.
Dinner: Butter cuttle fish with my leftover mee hoon
Eating this was a horror because I swallowed another bracket. ARGHHH. I hope the wire doesn't poke in after this.
