I'm finally starting on my research for Taiwan trip.
We have visited the general trade sector of Fortune Oil, visiting the wholesalers & retailers, import market as well as the local market.

Pettah's loose oil market. Our biggest challenge is said to be converting the loose oil users to packed oil users. In sri Lanka, it is surprising that 96% of the people uses loose oil and that include 5 star hotels too. Loose oil comes from the bouzers filled with refined oil and wouldn't be much of a problem if the shop owners are honest and do not mix the refined oil with other oils. However, more often than that, the quality is lower than packed oil because they mix the oil and hygiene is actually a big issue. I don't know how much loose oil I have consumed already in Sri Lanka. OMG. So people come in to the shop to buy small quantities of oil with their own containers and save quite a lot from consuming loose oil because packaging costs are avoided.
Import Market @ Kollupitiya Market
This is the place where you get to buy many imported goods and I finally see very familar brand names. HAHA of course the price is higher too and the sales rep told us that it is more for the richer families. Sri Lanka imposes pretty high import taxes.
Lunch at 21.15pm and I was so hungry until I can't feel the hunger anymore. Perera & Sons mostly sold finished their rice and curry.
I actually finished 95% of this.
